Aniplex Announces ‘Rascal Does Not Dream’ Anime’s Sequel

‘Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai’ has deceived many people by posing as a cute romance and hitting them with one of the most horrific storylines ever. Regardless, fans loved it so much that the show became an instant hit.

Although the anime didn’t turn out to be what we expected, it stirred a wave of intrigue and curiosity in its audience. If not for Hajime Kamoshida’s brilliant and creative writing, the franchise wouldn’t have been enjoying this level of fame.

The ‘Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai’ anime has filled up people with a variety of emotions and will be returning to do the same.

As announced at the Aniplex Online Fest 2022, the show will receive a sequel adapting the novel’s 8th and 9th volumes.

The 8th volume, titled ‘Rascal Does Not Dream of a Sister Venturing Out,’ again features Sakuta’s sister Kaede as the focal character. In the last episode, we saw her recovering from Adolescence Syndrome and willing to live an everyday life again.

Kaede expresses her interest in going to school again and feels confident enough because she has Sakuta and others by her side. Initially on board with it, Sakuta becomes worried when Kaede declares that she wants to attend the same school as her brother.

This story arc brings back the show’s time-traveling aspect and some blasts from the past bundled up with familial issues. Both Mai and Sakuta will be facing situations with hard choices and confronting some brutal truths.
