Annecy Film Festival Feature Film Selection: The Deer King and Many More!

The Annecy International Animation Film Festival announced the selections of their feature film categories. And yes, three of your favorites, including Josee, The Tiger, and The Fish, are among them!

The film festival is the most awaited time of the year for all animation film enthusiasts as they get to see their favorite movies being appreciated by everyone.

The official website of the Annecy Film Festival announced that Josee, The Tiger and The Fish, The Deer King, and Poupelle of Chimney Town are amongst the top in their Feature Film Category!

“Josee, the Tiger, and the Fish,” directed by Kotaro Tamura, and “The Deer King,” directed by Masashi Ando, will be released on June 14-19. It seems that it will be exhibited in the competition section of the Annecy International Animation Film Festival (Festival international du film d’animation d’Annecy) held on Sunday (Movie Natalie)

The Deer King (Shika no Ō) is Masashi Ando and Masayuki Miyaji’s fantasy masterpiece based on a novel series of the same name. The film is scheduled to premiere on September 10th, 2021. 

It is a movie about life and struggle and how one fights the cruel fate that awaits them. The movie was initially slated for a September 2020 premiere but got delayed.

The film Poupelle of Chimney Town (Entotsu-machi no Poupelle) is a 2020 movie by Yusuke Hirota. It is a fantasy film animated by the famous Studio 4°C. 

It is a beautiful story about adolescence fabricated and put together like a children’s book.

It is great to see the Asian film industry finally gaining international recognition. They have long suffered, but now is their time to shine, and we are here to witness it all!
