Atelier Ryza’s Anime Adaptation’s First Episode Would Be 1-Hour Long
The first installment of the acclaimed ‘Atelier Ryza’ trilogy, ‘Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout,’ was a critical and commercial success. Ryza, along with her pals Lent and Tao, embarks on an adventure in this video game. The journey affords her the opportunity to study alchemy and protect humanity from impending doom.
The first game in the series will be adapted into an anime series, it was reported a few months ago. Koei Tecmo just shared some excellent news, but we still have to wait another month for it to arrive.
Koei Tecmo Games revealed on Saturday’s live broadcast that the first episode of the ‘Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout’ anime will air on July 2 for one hour. There was also the publication of a special key image for the show.
Above image and anime character design are both the work of Tomoyuki Shitaya. The same four characters—Ryza, Lent, Tao, and Klaudia—appear in this image as they did in the last one. Empel Vollmer and Lila Decyrus, who had been absent up until now, also appear.
The theme song “Golden Ray” was performed by Sangatsu no Phantasia at the beginning of the first season. All of the original voice actors from the video game are coming back to lend their talents to the anime adaptation.

‘Atelier Ryza’ does not seem to have a very gloomy tone, which is a relief given the subject matter. An hour-long special would be perfect for setting expectations for the anime. If the adaptations prove to be worth the time, I’d be interested in seeing all three of them.
Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout
The 2019 role-playing game Atelier Ryza is the inspiration for the anime series Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout (Ryza no Atelier: Tokoyami no Joou to Himitsu no Kakurega). This was the twenty-first entry in the long-running Atelier series.
Kurken Island local Reisalin “Ryza” Stout is eager to see the world. She and her pals Lent and Tao manage to slip onto a boat headed towards the mainland. Empel and Lila save the trio from a monster and later instruct them in battle and chemistry.
