Attack on Titan: Season 4 Listed With 16 Episodes! Is There a Part 2?
With Attack on Titan: The Final Season topping this anime season unanimously, fans are already wondering how long the final season will be and if there’s a Part 2 coming.
The franchise shocked everyone with a surprisingly short episode order for its fourth and final season! And this announcement almost shattered hopes for a Part 2, as we got in season 3.
Attack on Titan: The Final Season is listed with just 16 episodes, and NHK also revealed the titles for the next four episodes.
- Episode 5 Title: Declaration of War
- Episode 6 Title: The War Hammer Titan
- Episode 7 Title: Assault
- Episode 8 Title: Assassin’s Bullet
The official website already announced on December 7 that the anime will ship in two Blu-ray Disc volumes on May 19 and July 21, with the first volume covering episodes 60-67 and the second one from episode 68-75.
The original manga will end soon, and if things go as announced for the anime, both the anime and the manga will end within Summer 2021.
However, there is still a slight ray of hope for fans who were expecting for a Part 2. Netflix Japan already listed Shingeki no Kyojoin: The Final Season Part 1, which hints that there may be a Shingeki no Kyojin Season 4 Part 2 or a movie.
Keeping fan theories aside, let’s focus on the official news which states that only 12 episodes remain for the final season. And the franchise has chosen to keep the fans in the dark regarding any news for Part 2.
We faced a similar situation back in season 2, which consisted of just 12 episodes, but considering the amount of content left to adapt, this short episode order is still a surprise for us.
But for now, fans are only focusing on Episode 5, which will release on January 10 instead of January 3. “Declaration of the War” will be a jaw-dropping episode, and with the War Hammer Titan in action, the anime will pick up its pace.
Attack on Titan Season 4 Episode 5 Delayed, Key Visual With Eren Yaeger
It will be interesting to see how the fan-favorite anime wraps up its final season, and we sincerely hope that the masterpiece won’t end up with a Tokyo Ghoul type ending.
