In the span of just a single episode, things have altered heavily. In the last episode, we saw firsthand, as the reins slowly shifted from Zeke’s hands to Eren. We are excited to see what our protagonist does in Attack on Titan Season 4 Part 2 Episode 5.
Can he find the solution to end this incredible cycle of hatred without wiping off the Eldians?
Zeke and Eren visited Grisha via Eren’s memories. We see back in the old days, how Grisha truly appreciated his new family after losing his old one. Zeke had planned to show Eren that he has been brainwashed by their father but seeing Grisha happy, makes Zeke confused.
However, they suspect Grisha’s Eldian mentality when they see him get close to the royals and discover their secrets. However, even after figuring out the location of the founding, Grisha did not act on it. He returned to his family, showing his devotion.
In the basement, Grisha still has a picture of his old family and he apologizes to Zeke. As the man wakes up, he can actually see Zeke! The brothers move on to the next memory – Eren has not been brainwashed and yet, he is growing up with Grisha’s mentality.
It was the memory of the night where Eren saved Mikasa, that is when Eren tells about his urge for freedom and how he will have it at any cost. Zeke only plans to save his brother before he can do anything to the Eldians.
In the memories, Grisha meets both Eren and Zeke and he realizes that he has to tell young Eren about the outside world.
But as Grisha was leaving home, he gets a vision of the day when Wall Maria would fall. He immediately goes to the royals and begs them to help his family. Unfortunately, the war renouncement vow forces Frieda to decline. She says that Eldians must suffer for their past and accept all hatred and destruction.
Zeke is happy to see Frieda’s ideas but Eren rejects them completely. Grisha can see glimpses of the future due to the Attack Titan. This is the only titan that does not bend to the founder.
He plans to take the Founder away and end the royal blood. However, he is too nice to do this – he can’t bring himself to kill children.
Eren is the only who urges their father to go on with what he came to do. Eren reminds him of the past and everything he lost. And then, Grisha has the courage to kill them all.
However, in the end, he regrets his actions and asks Zeke to stop Eren. Zeke is moved.
Back in the present, Eren is still chained up. However, he has a look of calm around him and Zeke can’t unnerve him. In AOT Season 4 Part 2 Episode 5, it will be time for Eren to act. But what can he do when all the power lies with Zeke and his royal blood?
Attack on Titan Season 4 Part 2 Episode 5 Release Date
The upcoming episode, Attack on Titan Season 4 Part 2 Episode 5, will be released on February 7th, 2022. It will be the 80th overall episode. We know that its title is set to be “From You, 2000 years ago”.
This is quite similar to the title of the very first chapter of the series – ‘To you, 2000 years from now”.
The mystery of the title will become clear to us and so will be Isayama sensei’s genius. Let us get our timings straight for this incredible episode and the countdown will start soon:

One of the biggest confusions of this chapter was the mechanism of the memories. We saw that Zeke and Eren are traveling through Eren’s memories. But still, they were able to communicate with Grisha.
Eren could urge Grisha to do what he has done. And we also see that the past can’t be changed. If we understand the paths, we will understand what happens in Attack on Titan Final Season Part 2 Episode 5.
The key lies in the paths. This is a place where time and space work differently. It is actually a loop that has formed. Adult Eren traveled back in time and urged Grisha to do what he did and in turn, those actions turned child Eren into adult Eren.
This is only possible in the paths. And we should note that Eren and Zeke were at the ‘Coordinate’, where all paths intersect. Time is infinite and instantaneous in that place.
