Baji and Chifuyu to Get a Spin-Off ‘Tokyo Revengers’ Manga in July
Who knew that a childish dream of some teenage boys would result in the formation of Tokyo’s largest and most notorious gang? Tokyo Revengers’ Tokyo Manji Gang was formed by six inseparable friends who shared a single dream, making each one essential to the gang’s existence.
However, as seen in the first season, Shinichiro Sano’s death cracked their relationship, and Kazutora and Baji were sent to juvenile detention. One thing led to another, and we got the most heartbreaking scene of the season with Baji dying from his wounds after their fight with Valhalla.
Baji is a character that left an impact even after having such little screen time. Mangaka Ken Wakui understood the character’s influence and announced a spin-off manga titled ‘Tokyo Revengers ~Baji Keisuke Kara no Tegami~’ (A Letter from Keisuke Baji).

The manga will launch in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine’s 35th issue on July 27, 2022. It will be written and illustrated by Yukinori Kawaguchi under Wakui’s supervision and guidance.
Considering how the main series’ events were heavily influenced by Baji and Chifuyu’s actions and interference, it was unfair how little we got to know about their bond. Baji thinks of Chifuyu as his most trusted lieutenant, while the latter holds the utmost respect for Baji.
Wakui has revealed that the manga will center around Baji and Chifuyu and their entire story, from the moment they met for the first time until Baji’s death and farewell.
‘Tokyo Revengers’ Confirms January Premiere of Season 2: Christmas Conflict
It’s like we’re signing up for another week of crying with this manga, and its hopelessly poetic title doesn’t make it any better.
But so is the fate of fans who choose to love characters that die early in a story and leave a hole in our hearts forever.
About Tokyo Revengers

The story revolves around Takemichi Hanagaki, who learned that Tokyo Manji Gang had killed his only ex-girlfriend from back in middle school. After learning about the incident, Takemichi was pushed from the railway platform.
Landing on the tracks, he closed his eyes, accepting his death, but when he opened his eyes, he had time-leapt 12 years into the past.
