Beatless is a Japanese action sci-fi anime TV series. It is an adaptation of Satoshi Hase and Redjuice’s novel series of the same title. Diomedea animation studio animated the series that made its debut on January 13, 2018. Its first season ran for a total of 20 episodes before ending on June 30 of the same year. The season installment of the series premiered only two months after its first one and ran for only four episodes before concluding on September 28, 2018.
Beatless Season 3: Renewal Status!
The producers of the series usually check factors like ratings, critical reception, and source material before renewing any show. The performance of Beatless wasn’t really good, but it wasn’t bad either. It was above average. The first installment holds a score of 6.20 on MyAnimeList, whereas its second season has a score of 6.81 on the same platform. The anime received a mixed response from the critics. But the great thing is that the viewers really liked this show. There are more than 152K members in its MAL group, which clearly indicates that this show has a huge fandom.
However, the only thing that is stopping this show from returning is the lack of source material. Diomedea already used the entire source material in the first two seasons. They even advertised the second installment as Beatless Final Stage and gave it a conclusive ending. Therefore, now the chances that the fans will ever get to see Beatless Season 3 are pretty low. It is likely that the makers will not ruin its ending by continuing its storyline.
What’s The Show About?
The story of Beatless is set in the year 2105 where the technology is really advanced. Humanoid Interface Elements hIE are robots who are like humans have been invented in 2057. People used these hIE as public and personal servants. However, a guy named Arato Endo, who is a high-school student, treats these hIEs as humans.
One day a hacked hIE attacked and almost killed him. However, an abnormal hIE named Lacia came to his aid and saved him. After that, Lacia suggested Arato should register as her master in exchange for saving his life. Arato agreed, and then both of them began to live together. However, Lacia warns Arato that she can do anything as she does not have any soul.
Beatless Season 3: Release Date
As we mentioned above, the probability for the anime’s third season to happen is almost zero. However, if any miracle happens and the show returns, it will likely take two or three years for its writing and production. So, if Beatless Season 3 gets the green light in the near future, then it will premiere sometime in 2024. As of now, we can only wait to see what happens next.
