Just as we predicted in our last article, Dante fell to the combined force of Asta and Yami. Fans are very excited about this amazing battle and can’t wait to see what unfolds in Black Clover 260. Let us discuss this in length.
Black Clover Volume 23 has been doing fine, with about 160k copies sold. But it is quite weak next to MHA, Dr. Stone, and Promised Neverland. Black Clover is a series that emphasizes a person overcoming their own limits – Yami and Asta are the forerunners in that area. Time and time again this duo has managed to overcome their limitations and defeat a stronger enemy. Black Clover 260 will show a heartwarming moment between this amazing master and student duo.
Chapter 259 was very well directed. The fight proceeded perfectly; Asta exhausts his arsenal just to have Yami pass on the katana at the last moment. The final slash felt extremely satisfying. Asta using his magic on the katana is similar to Zoro using Haki clad swords or Gon/Killua using nen covered tools.
Black Clover Chapter 260 Release Date:
Black Clover 260 raw scans will be available in the latest issue of Weekly Shonen Jump, on August 5, 2020. Within August 7, we will have the English translated version from fan scanlators.
The official English translation for Chapter 260 will be released on 9 August 2020. It will be available on the Viz website, MangaPLUS website, and the Shonen Jump app.
Before we move on to the spoilers of the upcoming Black Clover Chapter, let’s do a recap of Chapter 259 first. One Piece 987 and My Hero Academia 280 will be releasing this sunday, so check them out as well.
Black Clover 259 Recap:
In Asta’s mind, the Devil appears and reminds him that Asta can use the power for 50 seconds only. Asta right arm is the devil power itself. Asta charges in at Dante and chops off his arm. Dante retaliates with tentacle type protrusions.
Dante grows 4 sword wielding arms to fight Asta. Yami notes that Dante is being careful as a single slash from Asta’s right arm will result in their victory. Yami steps in to assist Asta and they attack Dante in perfect harmony. Even in that desperate fight, they are having fun.
Dante keeps parrying – he still wants to defeat the duo by overwhelming them; his malice has grown exponentially. With 8 seconds remaining till Asta loses his power, he summons the Demon Dweller sword. However Dante steals it.
Asta brings out the Demon Destroyer sword but Dante prevents it again. With only 3 seconds remaining, Yami bursts Dante with his Death Thrust. Dante is confident in his immortality and regenerates. He declares the endgame.
With 1 second remaining, Yami silently passes on his katana to Asta. Asta clads it in Devil Power Anti Magic. He moves in for a perfectly timed, clean slash on Dante and succeeds. The Anti Magic cancels out all of Dante’s Devil Magic, rendering his powerless and utterly defeated.

After a spectacular fight, Dante falls in battle. Our heroes Asta and Yami earn a very well deserved victory. Their teamwork was phenomenal to watch. Both of them surpassed their limits for each other. Fans are very impressed by these 2.
Asta’s Anti Magic is stronger than ever. He completely erased Dante’s Devil Magic as well the Body Magic. In the final 50 seconds, he wielded his new power with amazing skill. But actions have consequences; the devil trade is gonna cost Asta in Black Clover Manga 260.
Asta took part in the Devil’s bargain. He borrowed power from the devil in exchange for a body part, that is, his right arm. The power was astounding and it made Asta strong enough to fight on equal footing with Yami. In fact, Asta became the aggressor and Yami was the supporter!
Now take a look at the final panel of Chapter 259. Asta has already switched off his Devil Power. But, his arm is still black! We will get to see this in more detail in Black Clover 260. But we believe Asta’s right arm has been permanently changed into that of a Devil. That is the cost for Devil’s power.
In the future, Asta will probably be able to unleash this form again, without losing more limbs. But, when the times comes for him to get even more power, he will have to sacrifice another body part. If that goes on, Asta will become the devil itself! This power is a double edged sword.
Black Clover 260 might explain more about the following. For some reason, Asta and his devil have no barrier, allowing him to use 100% Devil power. Dante and Vanica could only go up to 70 – 80% and that is probably why they didn’t lose their limbs permanently. So where does Asta’s Devil dwell?
Maybe Nero will be able to seal the power; maybe Julius will reverse time on the arm; maybe Asta will come into some sort of an agreement with his devil – we are all curious to know Asta’s next move. He will probably pass out from exhaustion in Black Clover 260 but after that, we will see about his arm.
Lastly, it looks like the plan of Dark Triad has failed. Without Yami, they can’t unleash the Tree of Qliphoth magic. What does this mean for the plot? How does the evil organisation proceed from here? Who will take over Dante? Will Vanica or Zenon come to fight? These will be answered in the following weeks.
Black Clover Manga 260 Raw Scans:
As of now, there are no leaks or raw scans of Black Clover 260 available. It won’t be until Tuesday that we see some forms of spoilers – maybe a description, or a panel shot or so on. Since this title is not available on Shonenjumpplus website, getting the raws can be hard.
