Black Clover 266: Asta’s Devil Binding Ritual Vs Anti-Magic Devil

Yuki Tabata has been rolling out some seriously engaging Black Clover chapters recently. A war against the dark triad is upcoming and Asta has to get exponentially stronger in just two days.

Nacht had taken the responsibility of making Asta stronger in a very short period of time. The interest of all the fans was piqued to know how Asta could achieve such power. What is the secret training that can lead to this unbelievable result?

The secret is now out and we cannot stop gaping at what we’ve just read. The Anti-Magic Devil has finally appeared in front of Asta as a physical manifestation.

The Devil Binding Ritual

Nacht brings Asta to an abandoned mansion and surrounds the area with his Dark Garden Invitation spell. He then explains to Asta that as a result of this training, his powers will grow exponentially.

The Devil Binding Ritual is where a magic knight seals a contract with the devil to command its powers as his own. Normally, a relic linked to the devil is used to summon it. However, Asta’s right arm and grimoire make it a different story.

Asta vs Anti Magic Devil, Who Will Win?

As soon as Nacht summons it, the Anti-Magic devil appears in front of Asta, sneering at him. The secret to commanding the devil’s power is to fight with it and win over it.

It is very clear that Asta is the one who has to win in this battle for supremacy. If he doesn’t win here, there is no chance that he can face the other devils.

However, we will seriously underestimate Tabata sensei if we just expect an easy win with no setbacks.

Asta’s demon is incredibly powerful, they are in an abandoned mansion and have two days worth of time. All these factors point to a relentless battle of brain and stamina. Asta might win by just a hair’s breadth.

Another interesting fact is how the devil looks similar to Asta. Tabata sensei seems to be playing with the “good and evil in the same being” concept.

If seen from a different point of view, it looks like Asta is trying to subjugate or win over his inner devil.
