Black Clover Chapter 303 Finally Redeems Nozel by Unveiling his Curse
Many of you might have been skeptical towards Nozel Silva due to his previous open disdain towards Noelle. In chapter 303 of Black Clover, Nozel has redeemed himself in my eyes. Neither his handsome glare nor his tears at the sight of his mother have gone unnoticed.
For years after their mother’s death, Nozel had lived believing that he was incapable of protecting her. He pushed Noelle aside as he felt powerless and deemed himself unworthy of facing her.
While Solid and Nebra were powerful enough to protect themselves, Noelle’s magic was often uncontrollable. If she became a weak mage, she would die and Nozel would never be able to forgive himself. Thus he tried his best to keep her away from battlefields.
In chapter 303, Nozel finally realizes that what he should have done instead is to grow stronger together with Noellebecause she has grown powerful enough even to challenge Megicula.
When Acier Silva was cursed, so was Nozel. He has lived this long with a curse that holds him back from divulging about Megicula unless he wants to get the listener cursed as well.
After his mother’s death, Nozel hardened his resolve to protect his siblings and to defeat Megicula no matter what it takes. There was no other way for Nozel to dissuade Noelle from taking up the path of a Magic Knight.
Although the emotional trauma that he put Noelle through is unforgivable, at least his motives are clear now. Nozel’s treatment of Noelle seems more like a projection of what he thought of himself – “a failure.”
The appearance of Acier Silva’s spirit at the end was truly the cherry on top as it is a sign of both siblings going in the right direction, and finally, all misunderstandings will be lifted.
Black Clover Chapter 302: Gaja is Alive Despite Wounds, but for How Long?
With Megicula’s death, is Nozel finally free of the curse? If so, then he has a lot to talk about with Noelle. Maybe Tabata will also squeeze in a conversation between Nozel and Asta in the next chapter?
