Official Announcement for Blue Giant Anime
A major new poster for the film was released in Japan right before the premiere there. Up until this point, nothing but hints and key imagery has done anything but pique our interest and heighten our anticipation. There are only two months left until the movie comes out, so the franchise has decided to release more details. The story’s other two protagonists, while not as central as Dai, are nonetheless significant. Shunji Tamada, a classmate of Dai’s, and pianist Yukinori Sawabe of Tokyo. The trailer’s striking main visual effectively conveys the band’s commitment to their craft.
Yuzuru Tachikawa was hired to direct the film because the producers knew they needed a seasoned director for the project. Notably, the film’s script was written by Number 8, the editor of the Blue Giant manga. Their resume also includes directing the Blue Giant Supreme manga’s Europe arc. Afterwards, the three form a band and perform at various venues to hone their skills. These two factors make a huge difference for Dai, who has never competed before and has never had any formal training. In the sneak peek, we see that Dai still goes to the river to train regardless of the weather.
What Is The Plot?
Here’s a rundown of what to expect from Seven Seas Entertainment’s English dub of the manga. Dai’s life in Sendai, Japan, was fairly typical during his teenage years. The hot summers and wet winters have made this city famous. His life of hoops, odd jobs, and uncertainty about the future was lacking something. The music was definitely to blame. Dai is nearing the end of his senior year and has vowed to himself, “I will be the best jazz player in the world.” To what extent do the specific requirements for success need to be fulfilled? Talent? Effort? Why did this occur? Or it could be as simple as an insatiable appetite for tunes and an unwillingness to give up.
