Boruto Chapter 52: Isshiki gets Kawaki; Boruto turns Ohtsutsuki
Continuing with the prolonged Kawaki arc, Chapter 52 of Boruto: Naruto Next Generations certainly delivers the action packed showdown between Naruto and Isshiki that every fan was hoping for.
In order to protect his boy and the people in his village, Naruto as the Hokage takes on the responsibility of eradicating Isshiki’s existence even if it means that his own life would be sacrificed.
Chapter 51 teases Naruto turning into one of his newly acquired form, “Baryon Mode.” Chapter 52 ended with Kawaki being warped into the battlegrounds while an unconscious Boruto seems to have channelled Otsutsuki.
Will Boruto become Evil? Will he become a rogue ninja?
This new Baryon Mode gave Naruto the upper hand in the battle against Isshiki, rendering him weak but he quickly turned the tables by sensing Kawaki’s right hand and summoning him into the battlefield.
- Why did Isshiki warp Kawaki into the fight?
Sensing his chakra draining, Naruto thought of channelling Kawaki for help when Isshiki warped Kawaki onto the battlefield in front of them.
Isshiki has sensed Kawaki’s right hand as a power source and decided to cut it off to kill the “Hokage” Naruto.
Kawaki’s prosthetic right hand was designed by Katasuke in such a way that it would channel ample amounts of Chakra from Naruto to function.
Naruto being in a fight with Isshiki was using up too much of his powers and Kawaki could sense his hand not being able to function due to loss of Chakras.
Isshiki plans to hold Kawaki hostage in order to defeat Naruto who as a Hokage cares about his people’s lives.
While Sasuke is dumbstruck as to how the whole situation took a turn for the worse; Boruto, who was unconscious till now, opens his eyes in his Otsutsuki mode.
- What is Boruto’s Otsutsuki mode? And can it help defeat Isshiki?
We know Boruto has Otsutsuki blood running through his veins and he is possessed by the powerful Momoshiki Otsutsuki himself. Momoshiki had earlier bestowed the Karma power upon Boruto when his life was in danger.
The same life-threatening situation is in hand for Boruto and he seems to have channelled his inner Otsutsuki mode to fight Isshiki once again.
Momoshiki Otsutsuki was a powerful being who had the ability of Byakugan (a powerful x-ray vision for perception) and Rinnegan to absorb and use Chakras.
The spirit of Momoshiki still lives inside Boruto as he has made Boruto the vessel. He can control Boruto’s body and control his powers at his will.
This transformation can make Boruto a strong opponent against Isshiki and Boruto might be able to save his father from sacrificing himself for their safety.
We sure are worried for Naruto as his powers are slowly eating his life away from the inside while we also fear about Kawaki’s safety in the hands of the Villain Isshiki.
Do Naruto and Hinata Die in Boruto?
With all that said, the next chapter will clearly be an adrenaline-inducing and action-packed journey.
