In the previous chapter (Boruto Chapter 51) we saw that Sasuke and Boruto are fighting Isshiki and are not able to keep up with the Isshiki’s power. Sasuke’s Chakra is almost over and he is in very bad condition while Boruto’s right hand is broken and he is in extreme pain and can not attack Isshiki in his current situation.

In Konoha, Amado tells Shikamaru and others that Isshiki has different plans for Boruto and can not kill him, and on the other side, on the battlefield, Isshiki admits that he can’t kill Boruto. He further reveals that he needs Boruto as a sacrifice to harvest the divine tree and get chakra fruit.

Sasuke and Boruto both seem helpless and on the other side, Naruto is not able to sense their chakra because of chakra cubes. Naruto finds the situation fishy and rushes towards the battlefield but he is also out of chakra and can not fight Isshiki.

Naruto asks Kurama if there is a way to defeat Isshiki. Kurama says that there is a way but Naruto might die using this method. Naruto says that they are going to die either if they don’t do anything. Now, Naruto’s new form is revealed which we will see in the upcoming chapter.

• Borushiki might Appear – It was mentioned in the previous chapter that Isshiki can not kill Boruto as he is planning to sacrifice Boruto to harvest a divine tree. Boruto might take advantage of this and use the power that he obtained from Momoshiki.
