Bosch: Gino Vento And Carlos Miranda Join Cast Of Seventh Season
The seventh season of Bosch will feature some new faces. Gino Vento and Carlos Miranda have joined the ensemble of the police procedural/detective drama on Amazon Prime Video. According to a press release by Amazon, Vento is set to play Mickey and Miranda will portray Detective Chris Collins. Both the characters will recur throughout the seventh and final season of the show.
Bosch is based on The Harry Bosch book series by best-selling American author Michael Connelly. The series follows Hieronymus ‘Harry’ Bosch, an LAPD detective, as he solves some of the city’s worst yet ingenious crimes. The latest season will adapt two of the best books in the series – The Burning Room and The Concrete Blonde.
In season seven, Bosch and Jerry Edgar will pursue two different murder cases. The investigations will take them to the highest levels of white-collar crime and the bottomless depths of the drug trade on the streets.
While the story is bound to be exciting, there is another reason to get hyped for the last season of Bosch. Fans of the Harry Bosch books will know that he has a half-brother called J. Michael Haller Jr., a defence attorney, and the protagonist of his own book series. He is a fan-favorite and many have wished that he would make an appearance on the Amazon Prime series. Connelly had said before that a conflict in rights is preventing the character from making a cameo in Bosch.
But, from Amazon’s press release, it seems that a Mickey is appearing in the last season. Is this Bosch’s half-brother, who often goes his nickname Mickey? Or is it someone else? Does this mean that a Mickey Haller spin-off series might also be in the works? The fans are hoping so. Although it will be tough to top Matthew McConaughey’s performance in The Lincoln Lawyer, it will be interesting to see someone else’s take on the character.
Amazon Prime has not announced a premiere date for the last season yet.
