Burning Kabaddi Announced for April 2021 Release, Visual and More!
The tenacious and fast-paced sport, Kabaddi, will be getting an anime adaptation soon. This sport is well known in the South-Asian regions but will be seen on the anime silver screen for the first time.
Kabaddi is a full-contact sport like rugby played with two teams. But instead of playing with balls, it focuses on tagging the other team players. Interesting, isn’t it?
The official website for the anime adaptation of Burning Kabaddi announced that the anime would premiere in April 2021.
The website also released its second key visual, which shows the protagonist, Tatsuya Hoigoshi, and Masato Oujou.
The cast of the anime includes:
Character | Cast | Other Works |
Tatsuya Yoigoshi | Yuuma Uchida | Uenoyama Ritsuka (Given) |
Masato Oujou | Nobuhiko Okamoto | Nishinoya Yuu (Haikyu) |
TMS Entertainment will be animating the franchise. The staff for Burning Kabaddi includes:
Position | Staff | Other Works |
Director | Kazuya Ichikawa | Chuubyou Gekihatsu Boy |
Series Composition | Yuuko Kakihara | Cells at Work |

The website had already released a short PV back in July this year. The PV portrays the difficulty of the game in a series of scenes made of the manga panels.
