Capcom Releases Collection of Final Three “Ace Attorney” Games

Ace Attorney

Rare are the video games that feature courtroom drama or legal disputes. The ‘Ace Attorney’ video game series not only developed a subgenre for itself, but also made the genre fun and engaging. For a long time, the franchise focused mostly on making games for mobile platforms and Nintendo hardware.

In 2019, the first three games in the main series were remastered and released as “Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy” for several platforms. In 2021, ‘The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles’ was released, which included both of the spinoff games.

A remastered collection of the final three games in the main ‘Ace Attorney’ series was also announced on Sunday at Capcom’s Capcom Showcase event. The collection, Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney Trilogy, is scheduled for publication in the first half of 2024.

This movie serves as an introduction to Phoenix Wright’s apprentice, Apollo Justice, and features clips from all three games. As well as Athena Cykes, Miles Edgeworth, Maya Fey, and Trucy Wright, several other well-known characters make an appearance. Early 2024 is shown as the final release window.

The three games included in “Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney Trilogy”, which will be available in seven different languages, are as follows:

  • Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney
  • Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Dual Destinies
  • Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Spirit of Justice

No word yet on whether or not the supplemental materials will be available separately. Capcom and the official website should reveal additional details this year.

Although introducing a seventh main game in the series would have been preferable, this is still fantastic news for all ‘Ace Attorney’ fans. Nonetheless, this facilitates fresh players’ access to the series’ backstory. All that’s missing is a remaster of the ‘Investigations’ offshoot, and the set will be complete.

Ace Attorney

Capcom’s legal-themed adventure video games inspired the Ace Attorney series. The video game franchise inspired two seasons of anime.

Phoenix “Nick” Wright (Naruhodo Ryuuichi) is a young attorney who, with the help of his assistant Maya (Mayoi), is tasked with defending his clients in court. Despite the overwhelming evidence against him, can Phoenix win the case with only logic?
