Thanks for visiting Anime Rants. Before getting into the episode review, I have a quick correction to make about my previous Orb post. I wrote that Brownie (the young inquisitor) and his act of saving Jolenta was un-Biblical. I now retract the statement because there’s obviously more than one way to interpret the Bible. Christians have been picking and choosing their desired interpretations for centuries, and I’m glad they do, because it usually follows the pattern of humanism.

Greetings. I’m Mono and I’m very grateful that you visited my blog today. We are continuing the episode reviews for Beastars Final Season (part 1), which aired in Fall 2024. Episodes 9 and 10 were highly entertaining and exciting. The ninth installment showed us Melon’s face, while the tenth installment contained important character information and development for Legoshi. Let’s review the main events.
Welcome to Anime Rants with Mono! As most of you know, Science Future is the equivalent of the fourth season of Dr. Stone. It will be the final season, but it will have two cours, so we have 22-25 episodes to enjoy before the end.
The Apothecary Diaries Season 2 has begun and the beloved female protagonist Maomao is back. I’ll briefly cover some thoughts on the first episode. Before that, let me just mention that the new opening song (Hyakka Ryouran” by Lilas Ikuta) is insanely good and catchy. I’m not as crazy about the ending song though. (It’s “Shiawase no Recipe” by Dai Hirai.) Anyway, let’s get started.
Omoshiroi is a Japanese word that means “interesting,” “entertaining,” or “amusing.” In some contexts, it means “funny.” But when I say Solo Leveling episode 14 was omoshiroi, I mean “interesting” or even “intriguing.” I guess that’s your Japanese lesson for today. Now let’s recap this episode and discuss why I think it’s so omoshiroi.
I wanted to watch Sakamoto Days primarily to hear the VAs I have loved for years, including Tomokazu Sugita (Sakamoto) and Nobunaga Shimazaki (Shin). I also hoped for some good action scenes. Despite my anticipation, I worried that the show would be too fat-phobic for me to enjoy. It might still turn out that way, but I was pleasantly surprised by the mildness of the issue so far. The fat jokes were tame and easy to ignore.
Welcome back to Anime Rants. I’ve had a rough week and haven’t felt like writing much, but I’m trying to get back in the swing of things. I’ll catch up to where I want to be soon, hopefully. In the meantime, I’ll discuss the latest episode of my favorite continuing anime from 2024, Orb: On the Movements of the Earth. There was a time skip, and the feel of the show has changed somewhat – but not in a bad way, in my humble opinion. Orb continues to fascinate me with its new direction. Let’s review.
This episode was so interesting and had so much important character psychology that I barely know where to start. I feel that almost every episode of Orb deserves at least one detailed discussion post on its own. Since this is a brief episode review, I’ll mention as much as I can that comes to mind, but it certainly won’t be an exhaustive analysis.
Welcome back to Anime Rants. I’ve been struggling to find the motivation and mental energy to write lately. However, if nothing else, I still want to continue writing about Orb. This engrossing installment was another reminder of how much there is to love and analyze in this anime. From the 18th episode, there are several key points to mention – including Schmit’s idea of spirituality and Draka’s atheism. Let’s rant!
If you’ve ever found yourself looking for some anime series with a positive view on the human species, you’ve come to the right place. In this article, I list seven anime which fit the bill. There is also a “special mention” at the end. Please note that these are not necessarily “the best choices” nor the most popular examples, but simply some personal favorites that speak to me about hope in humanity. Please enjoy.
Welcome back to Anime Rants! One of the highlights of this episode was Senku’s moment of being romantically “slick” and charming when welcoming Luna. Speaking of Luna, she’s an attractive new character from Dr. Xeno’s camp. My thoughts on Luna and this episode as a whole are below.
