Hello and thank you for visiting Anime Rants today. The second season of The Apothecary Diaries is now well underway and it’s nearly as good as the first season already. It might be leading up to something even better than the first season. I’m willing to bet on the proficient story-writing of the manga author, Natsu Hyuuga. (Maybe she committed tax fraud, but she sure knows how to write engaging stories.) Anyway, let’s talk about The Apothecary Diaries episode 30 (AKA Season 2 episode 6).

Welcome back to Anime Rants. I try to publish Blue Exorcist posts every Wednesday during the Winter 2025 season, but I was too sick and miserable. That’s why this post is a little late. Despite my efforts to keep writing, things are difficult right now. I’m stuck in the USA under a government of Nazis and/or those who suck Nazi dick. In addition to that, my health isn’t great, with depression, gastrointestinal illness, and addictive habits still kicking my ass. Nevertheless, I’m here to talk about Blue Exorcist.
The cycle of violence is a theme that’s tackled in several of the most classic and popular anime series, such as Attack on Titan (especially the later seasons). For the most part, Orb spends time on themes like inspiration, change, the wonders of knowledge, and hope across generations. But violence – and in particular, religious violence – has always been a significant factor in this story. In episode 21, we see violence come full circle in the case of Frei.
Thanks for visiting Anime Rants. My appreciation of Tasokare Hotel went down slightly in these two episodes because there was no further development for Neko or Masaki Osoto. Instead, these two installments focused more on the supporting characters, Atori and Ruri. Regardless, since I currently have no job, I have the time to keep watching this show. There are definitely parts I still like, including the OST, the 1940s aesthetic, and the character of Neko. Let’s talk about Tasokare Hotel episodes 6 and 7.
Greetings, dear readers. This will be a short post because I’m in a hurry today. Although I’m enjoying Guild Receptionist so far, it feels like the show doesn’t know quite what it wants to be. The first episode or two were light-hearted and cute, with darker elements appearing often starting in the third episode. I don’t mind the slightly more serious atmosphere, but it feels inconsistent at times. This sixth episode focused again on Lululee and her history. Let’s go over it quickly.
Welcome back to Anime Rants! This episode was highly entertaining, revealing new information from right before the green light that petrified humanity. The music was also memorable. My other notes and thoughts are below. Enjoy!
This was an excellent episode of The Apothecary Diaries second season. One of the most fun parts of this series is watching Maomao unravel mysteries in the palace. Another favorite aspect of mine – which is more serious – is the focus on classism. Episode 31 provides an engaging mystery to solve while reminding us that it’s difficult to live in a society that allows sexual slavery and strict social hierarchy. There was also some fascinating world-building in this installment. Let’s review.
Welcome to Anime Rants. I’m trying to catch up on the latest episodes of Sakamoto Days. Today we’re covering episodes five and six. I ran out of time and have been in a hurry, so these are brief review notes.
Greetings! Thanks for visiting Anime Rants! The latest episode of Tasokare Hotel was fairly entertaining. Neko was surprised to see one of her favorite idols wander into the hotel. Let’s go over a few notes on Tasokare Hotel episode 8.
Let’s review some history to get a feel for when this series is supposed to be happening. We know that Rafal’s story started in Poland in the 15th Century. We also know that the printing press was invented around 1440 by Johannes Gutenberg. It was commercialized in 1454 and was used first for the Church, printing Catholic Indulgences and Bibles. Before long, philosophers, scientists and other academics were also printing materials. (Source: The Gutenberg Press.)
Greetings and thanks for visiting. Sorry I’m a few days late to this episode. Anyway, I enjoyed meeting the new character, Esil Radiru the demon girl. I giggled watching her become the next female character afflicted with Jinwoo Worship Syndrome. It’s funny how everyone wants to slobber all over Jinwoo. And I can’t really blame them, because Jinwoo is not only supremely powerful, but also kind and understanding.
