Thanks for visiting Anime Rants today. Guild Receptionist episode 10 was slightly boring, but I enjoyed it overall because Alina and Jade are both so cute and strong. In addition, this episode made me realize that Alina fits into the anime character archetype of the tsundere. Like any true tsundere, she started cold and aggressive, but is slowly softening up toward the male love interest as the story develops.

Greetings, readers. The 11th episode of Dr. Stone: Science Future was riveting. The main event was the “dogfight” between the planes piloted by Ryusui and Stanley. I recently watched Porco Rosso for the first time, so my appreciation for aerial battles has increased. Now, without further ado, I’ll very quickly recap what happened.
Welcome back to Anime Rants! Today, we’re reviewing The Apothecary Diaries episode 35 – AKA season 2 episode 11. In my opinion, this was the best installment of season 2 yet, which is appropriate, since it’s basically the climax of the season in combination with
Thanks for visiting Anime Rants! Today we’re reviewing the most recent episodes of Solo Leveling Season 2. Since depression and addiction are kicking my ass lately, this will be a shorter than usual post and may skip a few points worth mentioning. Sorry about that. Writing is hard when it feels like the world is burning and my hormones are a mess on top of everything else, haha. Anyway, please enjoy these short recaps.
Blue Exorcist came out in Spring 2011, but I watched it sometime in 2012. The most interesting part for me was the story of Rin and Yukio’s birth – the story of Yuri Egin. But since the anime was made before the manga had told the true story, the version in the anime was vague and unsatisfying.
Thanks for visiting Anime Rants! The final episode of Tasokare Hotel was surprisingly enjoyable and well-executed compared to what I was expecting. There was a lot to cover in just 23 minutes, but the makers of the anime pulled it off and made an emotionally satisfying ending. Let’s recap and discuss what happened.
Update: I have decided not to cover the new Devil May Cry on Anime Rants, at least for now, since I have too much on my plate and it’s not technically a Japanese anime.
When I first started watching Guild Receptionist, I thought it would be 80-20 ratio of comedy to emotional moments. In reality, the series is a bit heavier, with serious emotional dilemmas taking up roughly 50% of the time. For example, in episode 11, we learn the profound grief suffered by Glen after his daughter was killed in front of him.
Welcome! It’s the final episode of the first half of Dr. Stone: Science Future. One of my favorite parts of the episode was when the “acting presidents” of Japan and the USA negotiated over the radio. Nikki represented the Japanese and Dr. Brody represented the USA. I loved this because it showed us that Brody is a strong, reasonable leader who cares about human lives. It was also cool to see a person of color and a woman both depicted as leaders. With that in mind, let’s review episode 12.
Thanks for visiting Anime Rants today. I thoroughly enjoyed the final episode of Solo Leveling season 2. The best part was when the dead S-Rank Healer, Byung-gu, was temporarily resurrected as one of Jinwoo’s shadows. Thanks to that, Hunter Cha was healed and Hunter Baek got some closure about his friend’s death. Now, let’s go over the rest of the episode.
Welcome back to Anime Rants. Sakamoto Days finished airing a couple weeks ago now, but I’m behind since I was taking turns each week between this anime and Blue Exorcist. Sorry for the delay, but here are some brief thoughts on the last three episodes of the short but fun Netflix anime, Sakamoto Days.
Alina has always been an independent and stubborn character, and there’s nothing wrong with that. However, for her character journey in this series, she needed to know that she wasn’t alone. That’s why it was satisfying to see the end of this episode, where the title card was changed from “I’ll Solo Any Boss” to “We’ll Beat Every Boss Together.” It was a wholesome way to end this charming and sometimes intense little anime. Let’s go over the events of episode 12.
