Chapter 323 of ‘Black Clover’ Previews Yami and Nacht Vs. Lucifero

Chapter 323 of Black Clover showed Yami returning from death’s door. So, what does he do after opening his eyes? Join back in the fight, of course.

Lucifero must be getting tired of the unending stream of peasants he has to fight. Adramelech’s bored-teenager attitude is not helping either.

I think the biggest revelation in this chapter is the change that Yami’s body is going through. Vanessa comments that it is becoming like Asta’s devil, Liebe.

Does this mean Yami has a devil’s heart now? If so, will he turn into a devil too? I hope Tabata-sensei spares our beloved captain from the torture of becoming the very thing he hates.

Only the high-ranking devils have a heart, and low and mid-ranking devils often lack them. Yet Vanessa points out that Liebe has one.

Does that mean Liebe is not actually a low-ranking devil? Or has the chibi devil developed a heart after his escape from the underworld? The jury is still out on this one.

After getting revived, Yami jumps back into the fight to block Nacht from meeting Morgen. The vice-captain of the Black Bulls is getting too eager to meet his dead brother, to be honest.

We also get a flashback where Morgen admits that Nacht is a better partner for Yami than himself. Now, that’s a very unrealistic portrayal of sibling relationships.

Nonetheless, the next chapter is sure to give us a Yami and Nacht Vs. Lucifero fight.

Yami’s new sword is yet to show us its skills, and I’m eager to know what the combination of dark magic, a World Tree sword, and the mysterious condition of Yami will produce.

All I hope for is that Lucifero learns a bit of respect and sportsmanship and doesn’t slap them away after just two pages.
