“Cheat Yakushi no Slow Life” To Premiere July 7

“Cheat Yakushi no Slow Life” is definitely one of the most awaited Isekai anime to look forward to among the Summer 2021 anime listing.

The official Twitter account of “Cheat Yakushi no Slow Life” streamed a teaser trailer for the anime on 26 May. The trailer also revealed the premiere date to July 7, 2021. The anime is set to premiere over TOKYO MX and BS11.

Yen Press released the first volume of the novel (May 11) and the manga (March 30). SevenSeasEntertainment has taken charge of releasing the English adaptations of the novels. The anime is undertaken by EMT Squared Studio.

Plot

The story follows Reiji Kirio, a corporate drone who wakes up in another world (Isekai). Then, he gets disappointed at not having the skill set or the (over) power of an Isekai hero. However, he has a huge boost in medicinal ability aka “drug discovery” skills. He starts a drugstore that eventually expands as a chain all over the magical land.

Although initially disappointed, Reiji lives a relaxing and calm life later on. It follows a pretty much slice-of-life flow, with several cute and light-hearted episodes. Unlike the usual action-drama in the typical Isekai series, the anime is relaxing and enjoyable for its relatively slow pace.
