Crusher Joe Rebirth is the manga adaptation of Haruka Takachino’s science fiction novel series Crusher Joe. The story is about Joe, a space explorer, who takes on tough jobs while maintaining a rigid code of honor.

The 21st issue of Kodansha’s Evening magazine announced that Crusher Joe REBIRTH will go on hiatus and resume next spring.

The magazine revealed on Saturday that it would be going on a brief break and will return in Spring.

Crusher Joe REBIRTH launched in the Evening magazine in September 2017. In February 2020, Kodansha’s Evening magazine published the manga’s third compiled book volume.

Takachino and the artist Fujihiko Hosono previously adapted the Crusher Joe series into a manga in 1979. Anime studio Sunrise adapted the novels into a 1983 film and a 1989 video project, both of which were released in North America.
