D.Gray-Man Treads Closer to its Main Plot; Summer 2021 Issue Out in July!!
Set in the 19th century, when curses, magic, and paranormal activities were a lot more common, the dark fantasy manga D.Gray-man is something that takes us back to that era.
That 19th century is well-known for conspiracies about magic, exorcism, paranormal stuff, and much more.
Whether the stories are real or not, they did inspire loads of anime and manga, one of them being Katsura Hoshino’s D.Gray-man. The manga follows the story of an exorcist organization against the Noah Family.
D.Gray-man will get closer to its main plot with the release of its Summer 2021 issue of Jump SQ Rise on July 29.
The manga has been going on for almost two decades now and was on a hiatus for a long time due to the mangaka’s health issues.
The serialization of the manga began in May 2004 in the Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine published by Shueisha.
Since then, it has changed many magazines and is now being serialized in Jump SQ Rise since April 2018.
Fans seem excited and confused about the whole ‘coming closer to main point’ thing as the manga has been going on for so long and has published over 27 volumes till now.
The confusion is reasonable – what exactly is the main plot of the story? Was all of this just a prologue or a prequel? Will we get the actual content now?
All of these questions are left unanswered but not for long because the release of the latest issue in July might give us the information we need.
The manga also has a spin-off series called D.Gray-man: Reverse by Kaya Kizaki, which explores the history of other characters in the story.

It also has an anime adaptation directed by Osamu Nabeshima.
The story is about Allen Walker, an exorcist who joins an organization of exorcists called the Black Order. The aim of the Black Order is to defeat the Noah family and Millenium Earl.
Throughout the series, Allen and his comrades go around to look for weapons called Innocence, the only thing that can kill and destroy the Noah Family and the Earl of Millenium.
The last chapter ended with Allen telling Kando about his past as a child, his history, abuse, and also about the people who cared for him.
We can’t say much about the upcoming chapter in the manga, but we can certainly speculate about it!
After all this time, we fans deserve to know what the story is about, and we can’t wait for it.
