Dark Clouds Loom Over Daiya No A Act II as Mangaka Leaves on 2 Month Hiatus
Ace of Diamond is currently one of the most coveted sports manga, but it seems like dark clouds are over the horizon!
The strong following of the manga could be due to many factors that Ace of Diamond is known for, whether it be the narrative or the attention to detail. However, ask any longtime fan, and they would say that it’s the mangaka Yuji Terajima’s work standard that has kept them hooked.
Sensei Terajima has shown that he is nothing but committed with almost no hiatus in these long years.
According to an unofficial but trustable source, Daiya no A Act two manga will go on a two-month hiatus starting from issue 29 (currently at 27). Furthermore, the series is set to resume serialization in Kodansha’s Weekly Shōnen Magazine on 4th August 2021.
If the news is accurate, then the mangaka and his team will make it public in the upcoming chapter or through the official Twitter handle.

Yuji Terajima’s last ever hiatus was in 2015 after ending the Daiya no A Act one; however, that could hardly be considered a hiatus but something akin to a “study leave” for the next series.

The source has also confirmed that the hiatus is not because of health issues but for collecting materials for the upcoming arcs.
Though over at the subreddit, some fans have shown displeasure at the sudden hiatus; however, most of the community has been respectful and understanding of the situation.
After Berserk’s mangaka, Kentaro Miura’s death, overwork, and health have taken center stage, many fans have demanded that authors take breaks. The most recent case being Jujustu kaisen itself.
While some are relieved that the break is not after a big cliffhanger, many fans have even speculated that the upcoming arc will take over a year to finish. Due to the scale of the upcoming arc, many fans want the mangaka and team to rest and energize.
With two months of hiatus ahead, I think it is perfect for old fans to re-read the manga and rewatch the anime and for new fans of the famous baseball series to catch up.
