The last season of “Date A Live’’had fans on quite a precarious note with Shido Itsuka’s power going berserk. It was quite wholesome to see all the Spirit girls coming together and reaffirming their love for the MC.

But for fans of this classic harem series, who thought that they could jump into “Date A Live IV” on the franchise’sten anniversary, they might have to rethink their plans.
The official website for the “Date A Live IV” anime series began streaming the trailer for the anime yesterday (September 10). The video at its end card revealed that the production committee has decided to postpone the anime release to 2022 for “various reasons”.
Additionally, the site also revealed the new staff members who are joining the anime production.
The trailer is everything we have come to accept from a franchise such as “Date A Live,” from action to waifus, this video delivers every front. Though there were too many girls to name, a few exceptional ones were the ruthless Tokisaki Kurumi and Princess Tohka Yatogami.
As for the delay, one of the main reasons could be problems at the animation studio Geek Toys, which recently postponed another fall anime as well. “Date A Live IV” was supposed to premiere this October, and the new schedule is yet to be announced.

The new staff seems quite experienced, with many having worked on the latest hits like Attack on Titan and Fruit Basket.
Though getting postponed is nothing new this year, DAL fans are lucky as they can go through the expansive catalog of the franchise while the next installment in the anime series is in the works.

Date A Live is a light novel series by Tachibana Koshi(writer) and Tsunako (illustrator). Since its debut in 2011, it has received several manga and anime adaptations.
Girls known as spirits are the cause of spatial earthquakes in a dystopian future. Shido discovers that the only way to seal such spirits is to make them fall in love with him and kiss him. Shido has to seal as many spirits as he can to save the world.
