We left off with Yuki and Tengen plotting their strategy to defeat Kenjaku in the upcoming battle in the previous chapter. Their hope was that if Kenjaku was exhausted from trying to expand his domain, Yuki would have an easier time defeating him in battle. The battle then began, and Yuki countered with a straightforward domain.
Kenjaku’s attempt to expand his domain, however, was quickly and thoroughly stifled by him. And then Kenjaku laughed at Yuki for having faith in Tengen. He went on to say that if she had expanded her domain on her own, this wouldn’t have happened. She sustained serious injuries but recovered quickly.
Kenjaku lost an arm because he misjudged Yuki and didn’t expect this to happen. The battle rages on; Yuki’s Shikigami aided her in the conflict, but she eventually ran out of steam. After that, Choso rushed to the rescue and started making plans to strike. At the chapter’s close, Choso launched an all-out assault on Kenjaku.
