With a new arc comes a new hashira, but Tengen might not be what you expected. Unlike Rengoku, who was the embodiment of duty and discipline, Tengen is the personification of flashiness.

Demon Slayer: Entertainment District Arc premiered with a one-hour special episode on December 5, 2021. Funimation is currently streaming the anime with English subs. The main story of season two will be covered in eight episodes.

If Funimation isn’t streaming the anime in your state, then I recommend you use a VPN to access the website.

SPOILERS AHEAD!This page contains spoilers from Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba .

Coming back to the first episode of the arc, it started with the heartless ending of the Mugen Train arc. The Tanjiro, Zenitsu, and Inosuke trio were left broken and lost as they faced the death of one of the best hashira. Kyojuro Rengoku.

Although he was severely wounded, Tanjiro visited the Rengoku household to deliver the Flame Hashira’s last words. Yet, the way Kyojuro’s father acted must have shocked many. Very few people can get Tanjiro to call them an old fart, but this man is just that annoying.

In this episode, Muzan is shown in the disguise of a kid. He is searching for the blue spider lily, a flower that will grant him immunity against sunlight. This, in turn, will lead him to perfect immortality.

We are soon introduced to Tengen Uzui, the jewel-studded hashira, who tries to kidnap Aoi. Not the best first impression, if you ask me. Although he comes off as arrogant and tacky, Tanjiro admits that he smells like a responsible person.

As always, ufotable has gone out of bounds with the animation. The action scenes are enough to make you drool over them, and soon, we are going to get more. The trio is heading out with Tengen to the Yoshiwara district, where eye-blinding glitter and gore coexist.

About Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Koyoharu Gotoge. Its publication in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump began in February 2016 with 19 collected tankōbon volumes released as of present.

In a world filled with demons and demon slayers, Kimetsu no Yaiba follows the lives of two siblings Tanjiro and Nezuko Kamado after— the murder of their family at the hands of a demon. Their hardship does not end there, as Nezuko’s life is spared only for her to live as a demon.

As the oldest sibling, Tanjiro vows to protect and cure his sister. The story traces the bond of this brother-sister or better yet, demon slayer and demon combo against the odds of an arch antagonist and the society.
