Demon Slayer Movie Comes to Funimation this June! Set to Break New Records

There is only a handful of anime titles that have broken into the mainstream like Demon Slayer. After the end of the first season, fans were rewarded with a new movie that covered the showdown between Lower Moon One and the main trio.

Sadly, many people in the west did not get a chance to catch the movie in theatres due to you know what. Now, very soon the movie will be available for them!

Funimation has announced that it will be exclusively streaming Demon Slayer: Mugen Train from 22nd June 2021.

The movie had a surprisingly successful theatrical run despite its limited release. It is the highest-grossing film in the history of the Japanese box office and the most successful foreign-language film in North America. 

It also became the highest-grossing anime movie of all time, dethroning Spirited Away during its run.

God knows how successful the movie would be had it been released in normal times. Surely the movie is expected to break all kinds of streaming records upon its release. 

Be prepared to set your heart ablaze. Hold on to your chairs and mark your calendars, it’s only a matter of time before Rengoku becomes your new favorite character. 

About Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Koyoharu Gotoge. Its publication in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump began in February 2016 with 19 collected tankōbon volumes released as of present.

In a world filled with demons and demon slayers, Kimetsu no Yaiba follows the lives of two siblings Tanjiro and Nezuko Kamado after— the murder of their family at the hands of a demon. Their hardship does not end there, as Nezuko’s life is spared only for her to live as a demon.

As the oldest sibling, Tanjiro vows to protect and cure his sister. The story traces the bond of this brother-sister or better yet, demon slayer and demon combo against the odds of an arch antagonist and the society.
