Demon Slayer anime came out in 2019 and instantly became a hit. The success of the series is largely due to its thrilling suspense and greatly lovable characters. A sequel movie was released in 2020 and became the highest-grossing anime film and Japanese film of all time.
The anime is inspired by a manga series of the same name authored by Koyoharu Gotouge. The manga sold over 150 million copies, making it the tenth best selling manga series of all time. When will Demon Slayer Season 2 release?
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba will be coming back to us with more episodes. The series’ Season 2, The Entertainment District Arc is set to premiere in late 2021. As of now, an exact release date has not been confirmed yet.
However, multiple sources are reporting that the anime will debut in October of this year. The announcement for the confirmation of its release came during ‘Demon Slayer Matsuri Online – Anime 2nd Anniversary Festival’. A new teaser video was also released.
The teaser was dropped on Japanese streaming service Abema TV. It shows the Yoshiwara Red light district as Tanjiro’s gang attacks the place to annihilate all demons.
Demon Slayer Season 2: What to Expect?
The plot of the series follows Tanjiro Kamado who strives to become a demon slayer after his family gets slaughtered by a demon, while his sister Nezuko is turned into a demon. For the upcoming season, we can expect the story to be a continuation of the ‘Mugen Train’ film.
Since the movie picked up from where season 1 left off, the coming episodes will definitely be an extension of the previous episodes. We should be ready to see some intense fights and bloody scenes to happen at the Yoshiwara Red Light district.
