Designs for Liberation Army Revealed as My Hero Academia Enters New Arc!
League of Villains is about to get some serious competition. Be prepared for some major tone shifts as the My Hero Academia anime goes into the Meta Liberation Army arc.
Manga readers were surprised when the anime decided to adapt the Endeavor Agency arc before the Meta Liberation Army arc. However, the decision seems to hold up well for now as events of both arcs take place parallelly.
The next arc changes the story’s perspective and follows the League of Villains and a new antagonistic organization called the Meta Liberation Army. The existence of the organization was hinted at in the recent episode by Hawks when he handed Endeavor a book.
The official website for My Hero Academia anime has revealed the character designs for the Meta Liberation Army.
The cast for the new characters of the Liberation Army were also revealed along with the designs:
Character | Voice Actor | Previous Works |
Re-Destro | Hiroaki Hirata | Sanji (One Piece) |
Skeptic | Tomozaku Sugita | Gintoki (Gintama) |
Trumpet | Junji Majima | Ryuji Takasa (Toradora) |
Geten | Seiichirou Yamashita | Toru Ishikawa (Horimiya) |
Curious | Takako Honda | Ishida Uryu (Bleach) |
Finally, with the introduction of Re-Destro, Skeptic, and others we will get to see what was happening on Shigaraki’s end after Season 4.
Despite the mixed chronology of events in the anime, fans had a glimpse of Shigraki being ecstatic around a rubbled building, which is supposed to happen at the end of the arc. We will find out soon why he is so happy.
Why does Shigaraki Tomura wear the Hands all over his body?
The lack of focus on the antagonists of the story was one of the potential weak points of the story, but that is about to get resolved soon.
The next arc focuses heavily on Shigaraki and other members of the League of Villains as it sets up the fated showdown between the Heroes and the League of Villains, which we will probably see next season.
For now, get ready to find out how the Meta Liberation Army stirs up the pot and what their relationship with Hawks is!
