‘Detective Conan’ Confirms April Debut of New Rei Furuya-based Spinoff
Being the huge franchise that it is, Detective Conan will never run out of spinoffs and sequels. One such popular sequel, Detective Conan: Zero no Tea Time, will receive an anime release this spring.
Remember Rei Furuya? The talented blonde guy from the Wild Police Story? His background has always been in the dark until now. All his hidden faces (believe me, there’s quite a lot) will be brought to light in the upcoming series.
Detective Conan: Zero no Tea Time spinoff anime will be released on April 4, 2022. Netflix will also stream the series in Japan from April 5.
In this brand new promotional video, you will get a glimpse into Furuya’s different identities:
A cute cafe part-timer by morning, a detective by afternoon, and a black organization member by night, it’s hard for anyone to tell his actual profession.
The teaser right away shows the cafe he works at, and because of his detective skills, he can observe his customers and serve their needs. Yet, why is he wearing three faces at once? The anime will reveal his motives soon.
The theme songs from Zero no Tea Time were also previewed in the video. “Shooting Star” is the opening theme by RAKURA and Rainy performs the ending theme, “Find the Truth.”

Detective Conan has kept us entertained with an abundance of anime, and this upcoming spinoff will be no less exciting. A triple-faced guy who serves coffee and polishes guns, sign me right up for this mystery.
