Detective Pikachu’s first trailer is out and to be honest, it is quite interesting. The series took a very different turn than we initially expected. The animation is hyper-realistic which is also very new from the original Pikachu all of us are used to. The first look of Detective Pikachu was very fascinating. Basically, from what the trailer suggested, it is a story about a boy and a talking Pikachu. We knew only this much in the beginning, but the official synopsis has been revealed. All in all, I think this could be very interesting to watch. Directed by Rob Letterman, and co-written by Nicole Perlman, Detective Pikachu Movie will be released on 20th May 2019.

Detective Pikachu Official Synopsis/Spoilers Revealed
It says that the story begins when detective Harry Goodman goes mysteriously missing. His 21-year-old son Tim, cannot rest easy until he finds out what really went down. To his aide in this mission comes this hilarious, witty, adorable super-sleuth Pokemon who had been Harry’s former partner. Grasping the strange fact that both of them could understand each other and work perfectly fine with each other, they set on to the quest of finding Harry.
The story is set in this never-sleeping Ryme City where humans and Pokemon co-exist side by side. During this quest, they encounter a vast variety of Pokemon and unravel a truth that can potentially destroy the harmonious and symbiotic relationships of this universe.
In the Detective Pikachu trailer, fans see how Tim actually stumbles upon the Pokemon. He finds him hiding in his father’s office. According to the synopsis Pikachu is supposed to be Harry’s former investigation partner. Both of them then join their forces to find out the truth behind the mysterious missing of Harry. Towards the end of the trailer we an explosion of sorts which can be a representation of the hidden secret that can and will blow up their universe that they know of.
