The anime was announced in August with a key visual alongside another Digimon film. It was shrouded in a lot of mystery at the time, but now we finally have some insight into what the show is about.

The visual features the three protagonists of the series: Hiro Amanokawa, Ruri Tsukiyono, and Kiyoshirō Higashimitarai with their respective Digimon partners Gammamon, Angoramon, and Jellymon.
The visual is slightly eerie as the hands of various Digimon ghosts or spirits are trying to reach out and grab the protagonists. Moreover, Ruri has an excited look on her face while everyone looks worried or distressed.
The anime’s website revealed the story is set in a future with some new technology where rumors of hologram Digimon are flying around. Although rumors, these creatures are very much real and commit crimes like kidnapping humans and stealing time.
The catch is that only people with a Digivice can see and do something about the notorious Digimon. So, Hiro, Ruri, and Kiyoshiro step up and take charge of the situation.
