The official Twitter account also revealed two critical visuals for the upcoming chapter. In the visuals, we get to see Drossel and Gedächtnis and with some changes in design.
Each season has a theme on which the episodes are based on, and every episode is just five minutes long. There is almost no context in the episodes that have been released in the past.
This new chapter will take us back to the robot-inhabited city during the Mercur era. However, the theme for this final chapter has not been revealed yet.
About Fireball
Fireball is a series of CGI anime shorts designed by Hitoshi Fukuch and produced by Jinni’s Animation Studios and Walt Disney Television International Japan. The series is made entirely in 3D with no cel-shading of any sort.
The first “Fireball” series was released in April 2008, and a second one titled “Fireball Charming” was released in April 2011. Both of them had 13 short episodes each, written and directed by Wataru Arakawa.
The story takes place in a robot inhabited city, where human forces have been trying for years to intrude. It follows the daily life of Drossel and her butler and guardian Gedächtnis, who have sworn to her late father to protect her.
Drossel is a robot manufactured with the mind of a 14-year-old girl, with Gedächtnis’ being that of a 50-year-old man. Although their exact mental age was never stated, both are at least 2,800 years old.
