Fans are very excited to read Dr. Stone 162 and we are here to talk about it. After the fantastic chapter 161, we only grow more curious about Senku’s journey.
When Senku is in danger, no Dr. Stone fan can still quietly. Right from the beginning, it is Senku’s Ten Billion percent charm that attracted us. His charisma holds the show together. Now that Senku is on the verge of death, everyone is on the edge of their seats.
Dr. Stone is shonen manga serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump. It is written by Inagaki, known for the incredibly popular sports series Eyeshield 21. It is illustrated by Boichi, the artist of Sun-Ken Rock and Origin. The anime will premiere another season in 2021.
There is ongoing news about Solo leveling anime release date and Dragon Ball Super 2 Release Date getting announced soon as well. So let’s keep our fingers crossed and hope that all these anime get released soon.
So without further ado, let’s check the spoilers and release date details about the upcoming Dr. Stone manga chapter but before that let’s take a recap of what happened in the last chapter.
Dr. Stone 161 Recap:
With Senku’s hopes resting on him, Chrome has resolved to make the new map. The group is going to infiltrate by making a tunnel. Tsukasa notes that it will take them quite a while to reach the destination – a fortnight. Meanwhile Ryusui informs the crew that Dr. Xeno thinks he won. This is good because now the infiltrators can take their time.
Meanwhile, the bedridden Senku proposes that they send the Medusa to Xeno. Being a scientist, Xeno can’t contain his curiosity about the weapon. The Medusa offered is out of charge, so it is no danger to Senku. But using it, they can threaten Xeno.
Gen confirms the device in front of Xeno. While skeptical about Senku’s motives, Xeno and his lackey ponders about the device. Xeno comes close to calling Senku’s bluff! But Gen is there to divert – he’s shocked to know Senku is the leader instead of Taiju. Xeno knows about it from a childhood picture of the two.
Nevertheless, Xeno acknowledges Medusa. Stanley arrives and asks about it. This is when Gen posts his doubts about the petrification. He is taken downstairs along with them, but they cover his ears to prevent him from hearing.
Stanley talks about a certain project and mechanic Brody says that he needs a couple of weeks. Xeno is satisfied with the timeframe. Gen realizes that they are making some sort of scientific weapon. Eventually, it will boil down to a science battle between the two sides.
Elsewhere, Dr. Chrome is hard at work. He lost to Senku at the math battle but ever since then, he has improved a lot. After a lot of hard work, Chrome comes up with a new device to help them tunnel through – Rotary Loop Knife! Unfortunately, the others realise it is a drill. Chrome has been defeated once more.
Dr. Stone Chapter 162 Spoilers & Discussion:
Dr. Stone 162 will probably show Chrome and his group starting the dig. Using the drill, tunneling will take less than 2 weeks. The faster they infiltrate, the better it is for them. Having Tsukasa secures them physically but scientifically, they’re shorthanded. Chrome is not yet capable enough to handle Xeno.
Coincidentally, this project of Xeno will take two weeks as well. Knowing the genius of Brody, he will probably finish the work early. Gen might confirm the identity of this mysterious ‘IT’ project in Dr. Stone Manga 162.
But is that the only reason Gen is being used here? We believe Gen has a bigger role in this arc. Knowing him, there will be no sacrifices of course. But he can be a fantastic distraction and a proper guide. When Chrome Squad does infiltrate, Gen can take them where it matters and act accordingly.
Thus we can deduce that Chrome’s group will have a scuffle with Xeno’s group in the near future. The former will reach just in time to prevent any danger from befalling their allies. But whether they will succeed or not is something we will find out in due time.
Meanwhile, just as Ryusui said, the Kingdom of Science members can simply bide their time. Xeno thinks they’re done and thus, doesn’t give extra focus. He is more concerned about the proect, the Medusa and Senku’s bluff. How the greedy hero Ryusui will exploit this might be revealed in Dr. Stone 162.
Dr. Stone 162 Release Date:
Dr. Stone Chapter 162 is being delayed due to the break taken by Weekly Shonen Jump. The raw scans will be out by August 19, 2020. There will be Korean scanlations available by August 20, 2020. Unfortunately there are no quick English fan scans.
Therefore, for those who want English, the legit way is the only way. On 23 August 2020, Dr. Stone 162 Official English translations will be out for free. Read then on the Viz website, the MangaPLUS website and the Shonen Jump app.
