Dr. Stone Ch. 227 Leaves Fans at Major Cliffhanger with Why-Man’s Identity
If you haven’t read Dr. Stone’s latest chapter yet, then I beg you to go through it right now, or you’ll be hit with some major spoilers today.
I mean, where do I even begin? Everyone who’s been a fan since day 1 of the manga knows that the latest chapter is among the finest yet.
With Senku and the team finally on the moon, we all thought this was it, only to be reminded of the real goal in the most horrid way.
We all suspected that Why-Man must be someone Senku knew, but we could never guess who, but the latest chapter gave us a big hint on his identity.
Dr. Stone’s chapter 227 has revealed that Why-Man has always been close to Senku and the others for a long time.
All the excitement and celebration of the stone world’s moon landing came crashing down within minutes as Senku got closer to the ominous area Kohaku spotted from Earth.
The warrior got a fake transmission in Senku’s voice telling her to release the Medusa device, which soon activated.
Fortunately, our heroes deflected the attack and missed getting petrified while Ryusui from the ship and others from Earth watched in horror.
One of the panels portrayed half-a-face of, presumably Why-Man, who thanked Kohaku for unlocking the device for him.
Due to this incident, it doesn’t take long for Senku to figure out the person behind the petrification that struck humanity 1000s of years ago.
But the chapter ends there with everyone’s mortified expressions, leaving us with no idea who Why-Man is.
Many fans believe that Why-Man is Gen Asagiri due to the fake transmission that tricked Kohaku. Gen is a pro at mimicking voices which makes him a perfect suspect.
The next possible perpetrator would be Ukyo, as his behavior around the Medusa device a few chapters ago was very shady.
And last but not least, according to the fans, Why-Man’s probable identity is Senku’s biological parents, which in my opinion, would be very cliche.
“Get Excited” As The Science Team Lands on The Moon in Ch 226 of Dr. Stone
Some fans even theorize that Senku is made in a lab, and another Senku made just like him is the Why-Man. To put it simply, Senku is part of a program like that of Hydra’s super-soldiers in Marvel.
Although the craziest explanation that I’ve come across is that Why-Man is the real world’s genius scientist Albert Einstein! Sounds crazy, right? But who knows, this might even come true.
