‘Dr. Stone’ Ended with Ch 232; Will the manga have a sequel or spinoff?
Chapter 232 marked the conclusion of the fantastic sci-fi manga, Dr. Stone. The ending was so sudden that I haven’t registered the full shock of it yet.
Although the manga was inching towards its end quite aggressively, you can’t deny that the pace was unnecessarily quick. Every chapter pushed the plot by leaps and bounds, and the Why-man saga ended far too quickly.
The last chapter showed how humanity has prospered in just a few years after the threat of Why-man had subsided. Gen is on a mission to unite the different nations across the globe.
The science team has also expanded, and Senku is on the verge of inventing the time machine. The technology that was impossible to create in the 21st century can now be developed with the help of Why-man’s technology.
There we have it, Senku’s next mission is time traveling to the past to save all those who had lost their lives in the very first petrification attack.
I love how the series started in the present, then progressed to the past before finally getting a futuristic ending.
Now, let’s get down to business, as I’m sure that all Dr. Stone fans are in desperate need of more Dr. Stone content right now.
A Ryusui-based anime special for summer 2022 is confirmed, and a special chapter will also be released alongwith it, but let’s be honest, we all want something more.

The ending chapter hinted that Senku would bring back Byakuya and his crew. This particular saga will undoubtedly require immense knowledge and different tactics. Will the creators give us a sequel or spinoff stemming from this?
I would love to see Senku unite with his original science crew and go on an adventure to the past. From meeting his past self to convincing everyone that they will be turned into stone soon, it would be a delight to watch.
Well, for now, only a special chapter has been confirmed for summer 2022, and the agonizing wait for it has already begun. Rest assured, you’ll be updated about any announcements as soon as they are made.
