Dragon Ball Super 88 On A Break To Prepare For The New Arc

With the end of the Granolah the Survivor Saga, Dragon Ball Super is officially taking a break. It has been a fantastic arc with amazing battles. And then we got the perfect ending, where Freeza showed up with new powers, setting up the next arc. Fans are very excited for Dragon Ball Super 88.

We must admit that this break is a well-deserved one. We have had regular releases for a long time now and the story has managed to flow perfectly. Now that one Saga is over, the mangaka needs time to recuperate and prepare for the upcoming arc.

Many mangakas have done this before. Most recently, Eiichiro Oda took a month-long break to prepare for the final Saga of the series. Yuki Tabata of Black Clover took a 3-month break to prepare for the final arc.

Tatsuya Endo of Spy x Family took a break before beginning the WISE arc, and on and on the list goes.

That said, fans are super excited for Dragon Ball Super 88. The fact that Freeza has unlocked a new form is very exciting. 10 years of training has increased his power exponentially and his new, Black Freeza mode will surely be one of the prime contenders for the strongest in the Universe.

Dragon Ball Super Chapter 88 Release Date

As of now, the length of the break remains unspecified. The creative team has decided that when they deem the manga ready to release again, they will update up via their official channels. So for now, we fans just have to wait patiently.

Still, we can always make predictions. Normally, breaks last for a month or two. Given the fact that the upcoming arc is not the final arc, we are inclined to believe that this will be a one-month break.

This means Dragon Ball Super Chapter 88 should be released officially in October 2022. We firmly believe that even if it is a longer break, we will get a chapter before 2022 ends.

Dragon Ball Super 88 New Arc

The last arc ended showing Freeza. This is a statement on equality. Until now, Goku and Vegeta have used the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, the Room of Spirit and Time. Using that, they got a huge power boost in a relatively low time.

Why can’t the villains do the same? Hence, we see that Freeza has been granted the opportunity to visit that room. And he trained for 10 years!

Given the fact that Freeza’s base strength is much higher than the Saiyans, his Black Freeza form must be exponentially tougher. It won’t be a stretch to say that currently, Freeza is the strongest warrior in this universe.

Goku unlocking Super Saiyan for the first time – that is probably the most iconic scene of this franchise. It was the moment when hundreds and thousands of people turned to anime. And back then, Freeza was the main villain.

Once again, Freeza is back. And it looks like he has his own agenda. After killing Gas, he went away for his own work. Apparently, he is searching for someone. As for Goku and Vegeta, they are still inclined toward being the strongest in the universe.

We believe there will be a small time skip, where our protagonists will train their best. According to Whis, there may be another strongest warrior besides Freeza, which we will see in Dragon Ball Super Chapter 88. For now, let us train and get stronger.
