Eris: Jobless Reincarnation Spinoff Released Final Chapter
On October 11, Square Enix’s Gangan Online website published the final chapter of Take Higake’s Mushoku Tensei ~Eris wa Honki de Kiba o Togu~ (Jobless Reincarnation ~Eris Gets Serious About Sharpening Her Fangs~) spinoff manga.
The spinoff manga of the light novel series Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation’s Eris was launched on March 15, and the manga focuses on Eris and her travels after the end of the anime’s second part.
The original light novel series and the manga adaptation by Yuka Fujikawa are licensed by Seven Seas Entertainment.
The manga is about an unemployed 34-year-old shut-in who had been kicked out by his family and believes he has hit rock bottom, just as he’s hit and killed by a speeding truck.
On awakening, he finds himself to be reborn as an infant in a world of swords and sorcery, but with all memories of his previous life intact.
Rudeus Greyrat is determined to not repeat his past mistakes and decides to make the most of his reincarnation as he sets off on an adventure, thankful for this second opportunity at life.
The story was originally serialized on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō! website from 2012 to 2015. Kadokawa’s MF Books imprint began publishing a print version of it in 2014. Volume 25 of the light novel series shipped in September 2021, and it is set to end with volume 26 coming out on November 25, 2022.
The anime adaptation of the novel’s first part premiered in January 2021, and the second part premiered in October 2021; they were streamed on Fumination. The anime is currently streaming on Crunchyroll and Hulu, with its second season coming out in 2023.
About Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation
“Jobless Reincarnation: I Will Seriously Try If I Go To Another World” is an isekai light novel series that was initially published on Shosetsuka ni Naro since November 2012 before Media Factory started publishing under its MF’s Book Imprint in January 2014.
The light novel series wreaked havoc, and it was a success; soon after, i.e., in May 2014, Media Factory started serialization in its magazine ‘Monthly Comic Flapper’.
After more than half a decade, the light novel series is finally being adapted into an anime television series by Studio Bind. The series is scheduled to release sometime next year, i.e., 2021.
