That’s not all, select IMAX theatres will be screening the previous film “Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo” before midnight and will be showcasing an updated version of the third film Evangelion: 3.333 You Can (Not) Redo from January 8 to January 22.

The tickets will be available from midnight on Jan 13th.

The ongoing Coronavirus pandemic has forced theatres to hold midnight screenings for films to avoid more crowds.

However, this decision has hampered a lot of theatres owners and multiplexes who rely on the movie going crowd for profit.

About Neo Genesis Evangelion

Neon Genesis Evangelion is a Japanese anime television series produced by Gainax and Tatsunoko Production, directed by Hideaki Anno and broadcast on TV Tokyo from October 1995 to March 1996.

This series revolves around Shinji Ikari, who was recruited by his father to battle giant monsters (called Angels) in enormous mecha suits (called Evangelion).

Shinji has a hard time bearing this responsibility, and his inner conflict about these events leads to introspective episodes covering a range of religious and existential questions.
