Final Evangelion Anime Film Reveals Trailer, Visual And Theme Song
“Evangelion: 3.0+1.0: Thrice Upon A Time” is the final film of the Neon Genesis Evangelion series. Through a mind-blowing animation technique, the series plays with an important, “what happens to the one who saves the world”?
The world wants a hero to save them, but what does the hero feel? Is he taking the responsibility out of a sense of righteousness or is it unceremoniously dumped on him?
A trailer has been released for the “Evangelion: 3.0+1.0: Thrice Upon A Time” anime film. A new visual for the upcoming film is also revealed. The film will premiere in theatres in Japan on 23rd January 2021.
The trailer is aesthetically pleasing, as is expected of the Evangelion Franchise. Shinji is deployed for a final mission that will determine the Earth’s fate.
Glimpses from the battles between Evas and Angels are also seen in the trailer. Another queer aspect is that an Eva is seen fighting another Eva.
Hikaru Utada has performed the theme song of the movie, “My Last Kiss”. The song has a slow and soothing pace, yet it strangely adapts to the action-oriented anime and its trailer.
Evangelion’s Final Film Gets World’s Earliest Screening On Midnight of Jan 23
A new visual has also been revealed for the upcoming anime film.
The film was originally scheduled for premiere in June 2020 in Japan. However, the Coronavirus pandemic led to a delay in its release. The final film is being released after eight years of “Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo”, the previous film of the franchise.
The Final Evangelion is a part of a tetralogy. The first three parts: Evangelion 1.0, 2.0 & 3.0 were released in 2007,2009 and 2012 respectively.
