Gangster Drama Comes to Life with Tokyo Revengers Stage Play in August

On the surface, the story might seem just like another gangster drama; however, the protagonist Takemichi has somehow time-traveled back to his school days intending to correct his mistakes and save his girlfriend!
The Tokyo Revengers’ anime success has trickled down to the manga sales, making it the second best-selling manga beating Demon Slayer. Not only that, but Tokyo Revengers will also be getting a live-action movie adaptation in July, but that’s not all.
The tickets for the Tokyo Revengers stage play are now open for booking! The play is set to begin in August, one month after the live-action movie is released. The stage is set to be placed in Osaka, Tokyo, and Kanagawa.

Fans of the Tokyo Revengers franchise are super happy that they are getting multiple adaptations of their favorite story. First, it was an anime series, then a live-action adaptation, and now a stage play!

About Tokyo Revengers
Tokyo Revengers is a manga written and illustrated by Ken Wakui. It began serialization in Kodansha’s Weekly Shōnen Magazine on March 1, 2017. It is an ongoing manga that received its 17th compiled book volume on May 15.
The story revolves around Takemichi Hanagaki, who learned that Tokyo Manji Gang had killed his only ex-girlfriend from back in middle school. After learning about the incident, Takemichi was pushed from the railway platform.
Landing on the tracks, he closed his eyes, accepting his death, but when he opened his eyes, he had time-leapt 12 years into the past.
