Getter Robot Ark: Iconic Manga Series Gets Anime Adaptation!!
Getter Robot is an original Japanese manga series created by Ken Ishikawa and Go Nagai. The manga narrates the story of a robot that was powered by the Getter Rays and a battle against a powerful force that threatens humanity.
The numerous installments of this manga series include “Getter Robo G”, “Shin Getter Robo” and many more. Getter Robot Ark was the final installment of the manga that was left unfinished due to Ishikawa’s sudden demise.
Bandai Namco Arts announced that they will be producing an anime adaptation of Getter Robo Ark which will release in 2021. This hit manga series has been running since 1974, and is now in its 46th year.
Prior to the animation next summer, the teaser visual has also been released. It has been 46 years since the series was born. The screaming “hot soul” of the work “Getter Robo” breaks through the blockage and chaos of Reiwa. Please stay tuned.

In the teaser visual, Takuma Nagare, the story’s main character and main Robot, along with Hayato Jin, the first pilot of Getter Robot are featured.
It looks like the costumes of the characters have received an upgrade from the previous series.
The promotional video features the Getter Ark in action with their upgraded suits. You can also hear the revamped version of the song ‘HEATS’ by Hironobu Kageyama from “ Getter Robot – The Last Day” blaring throughout the video.

The manga ran in Futubasha’s Super Robot Magazine since 2002 but remains unfinished after Ishikawa’s death in 2006. Futabasha has published three compiled book volumes for the manga

It is about three strong-willed teenagers: Ryoma Nagare, Hayato Jin and Musashi Tomoe, who pilot three different giant robots specifically designed for them.
