Gintama: The Final Movie Reveals Special Cast Audio Commentary
Gintama: The Final is the (supposedly) concluding film of the Gintama franchise. However, the film’s list of surprises has not ended yet.
With this unpredictable series, there’s no telling what will happen next. Do not expect this series to be heart touching because the characters will turn every situation into hilarious gag scenes.
Although the manga has ended, the anime continues to show us the Yorozuya trio’s different antics.
The official website of Gintama: The Final revealed that the anime film will be premiered again along with audio commentary by the main cast.
The film will be screened on 22nd January.
Those who are interested in listening to the audio commentary whilst at home can download it from the “Hello Movie!” app. It is advised to listen to the commentary while using earphones.

Gintama: The Final premiered in Japan on 8th January. The film adapts the final few chapters of the manga and adds some original twists to them as well.
Although the film is being marketed as the final film of the franchise, it may not be the truth. Sakata Gintoki admits that it is a marketing strategy in one of the trailers.
On its opening weekend, the film ranked as #1. It overtook Demon Slayer: Mugen Train after Mugen Train’s reign on the charts for 12 consecutive weekends.

A two-episode prequel to the film titled “Gintama: The Semi-Final” premiered on the dTV service in Japan. It debuted on 15th January.
About Gintama
The story is set in an alternate-history late-Edo period, where humanity is attacked by aliens called ‘Amanto.’ Edo Japan’s samurai fight to defend Earth, but the shōgun cowardly surrenders when he realizes the aliens’ power.
He agrees to an unequal contract with the aliens, placing a ban on carrying swords in public and allowing the invaders to enter the country.
The samurai’s swords are confiscated, and the Tokugawa bakufu becomes a puppet government.
The series focuses on an eccentric samurai, Gintoki Sakata, who works as an odd-jobs freelancer. Although the story is mostly episodic, a few story arcs and recurring antagonists develop
