Gleipnir Season 2 Release Date: Cancelled Or Releasing Soon?

Gleipnir has seen a lot of success this season. Fans have loved this show and are eager to know whether a new season is coming. In fact, many are moving on to the manga. Today we are going to discuss Gleipnir Season 2 release date and when can we expect it to be released.

Ecchi isn’t really taken seriously among some groups in the anime fandom – like Plunderer. But Gleipnir is one of those rare anime, that hits home. It’s dark and mature nature invites a lot of fans and it delivers well. It’s very well written. Fans only want more information about it.

The last episode was mysterious and leaves us with a lot of questions and assumptions of what’s coming next. What with this ghost Hanoko? And why ghost hanoko go after Shuichi the moment he remembers everything about Elena? So why does she ignore Elena and the other former group of friends? Is Elena trying to save shuichi from ghost hanoko?

All we know, Kaito is killing people who don’t remember Hanoko. That gives one answer, why Elena has erased his memory but this arise another one why ghost hanoko is not going after other grp members!

This whirl of mystery can only be solved, when season 2 releases. Since the season 1 was a big success, there are high chances of a season 2 of Gleipnir anime getting released and today we are here to share all the details with you.

Season 1 Recap

A high school student finds out that he has a weird monstrous ability to transform into a huge monstrous stuff dog with a zipper down at his back. He saves a girl name Claire and they team up to find out her sister Elena who killed her parents and vanished.

Soon they find out about this Golden coins and the alien who grants people wishes and  in human power. This alien is a shape shifter along with his fellow friend they crashed their ship on earth while returning to their home.

Their living data were inside these coins which now has been scattered all around. He started granting powers to human who finds and give him back those coins. He even revealed that if a person collects 100 coins he will grant that human such a power which can destroy the whole Town or even the planet.

Shuichi and Claire plans to collect all the coin they can. They cannot let the power of 100 coins fall into the hands of anyone who might abuse it. Claire decides to find the crashed alien ship in the mountains because the possibility of finding coins is more there.

They soon come across a monster team and joints them for more information about these coins and their adventure of finding coins begins.

Gleipnir season 2 release date

There is no official confirmation of Gleipnir season 2 happening till far. However, after the success of anime, we’d be surprised if there isn’t a season 2. Gleipnir is among the most popular anime of this season till far. It probably would not be renewed until its manga comes out with at least three volumes.

It is safe to say that a potential Gleipnir season 2 release date could be as late as 2022. We really can’t expect another Gleipnir season in the 2021 spring anime schedule. Assuming that these three new volumes will be available by the end of 2021. We can accept that Gleipnir season 2 will release or air near July 2022.

Gleipnir season 1 has volumes 1-6 of the manga. Currently, there are 8 volumes. We will have to wait for more manga to create and release before season 2 before the show materializes.

There is no doubt there will be a season 2, so far we have seen in season 1, that the real motive of Shuichi and Claire that is to stop monsters to collect 100 coin, which may grant them inhumane power to destroy the world, has not been fullfilled.

Where can you watch Season 2 Of Gleipnir anime?

For now, you can catchup all the Gleipnir season 1 on Funimation and we are sure that Gleipnir Season 2 will be available to stream on Funimation official website as well.

Right now, we aren’t sure how many episodes will be aired for Season 2. However, considering the source material and the first season’s format, there will be 13 episodes.

Plot Predictions And S2 Discussion

We have already seen Shuichi has remembered everything, he had forgotten about Elena and his past life. But after the huge fight between Elena and Shuichi Elena somehow managed to erase his memory again.

But it really feels like Elena was trying to save Shuichi from the spirt ghost who came to kill Shuichi. Well, this can only reveal whether Elena was helping or hiding something, in next season.

We have already seen shuichi’s monster form. No doubt it’s a weak monster compare to other monster out there.

But let me focus on what is Gleipnir. In Norse mythology, “Gleipnir” is the binding that holds the mighty Wolf Fenrir (son of Loki). Gleipnir is a thin silk ribbon but far stronger than an iron chain. This shows that Shuichi’s monster may look weak but it is one of the strongest monsters in the anime, and Shuichi is unknown to his ability and power.

We have already seen shuichi’s power when he along with Chihiro inside him were knocked out by Subaru. Shuichi and Chihiro fussed their emotions and body to form a new monster which over took subaru and almost killed him but interrupted by Elena. This shows how powerfull shuichi is.

Elena had a crush on Shuichi and wanted him to be beside her forever. She wished Shuichi could a monster in which she could enter inside him and share their feelings but that’s another topic to discuss.

All we know that if Chihiro being inside Shuichi can make such a powerful monster which almost killed Surabu, just hold on and think what kinda monster will be create if Elena inter and fuse with Shuichi’s monster. Tremendous power and strength, they could simply overthrow any enemy on their way.

Well we can just predict, these are just a merry assumption of mine for the upcoming Gleipnir S2 anime.
