Goblin Slayer Season 2: Release Date, Where to Watch, and Updates
Since its debut on Crunchyroll four years ago, Goblin Slayer has become one of the most contentious anime series in recent memory. Although the plot was compelling and the graphics were flawless, the anime was heavily criticized for its brutal and severe parts.
Aside from that, the anime’s first season remains one of the finest in fantasy. On that subject, when can we anticipate Goblin Slayer Season 2 to premiere?
You’ll be happy to know that Goblin Slayer Season 2 was officially announced earlier in 2022. So the second installment is unquestionably in the works. Unfortunately, few facts regarding the anime have been disclosed. But it’s good to know that Goblin hunting season will be back shortly.
When Is Goblin Slayer Season 2 Releasing?
The release date for Goblin Slayer Season 2 has not been announced, although a second season has been confirmed. If we had to guess, we’d say it won’t come until the fall of 2023. The anime has been in production for quite some time, so those eager to witness some Goblins being slapped won’t have to wait much longer.
The first key graphic for Goblin Slayer Season 2 was published alongside the announcement of the season. Most anticipated the series to be canceled owing to the depicted brutality, yet despite the odds, the series survived.
Which Studio Will Animate Goblin Slayer Season 2?
Studio White Fox created both Goblin Slayer Season 1 and the feature film Goblin’s Crown. Though no confirmation of White Fox resuming the part has been provided, we’re confident they will.
The enormous contrast and gorgeous details that the studio included in the first season were genuinely suited for a dark fantasy anime. The graphic direction, character design, and pace were all perfect for the series. So it’ll be fantastic if White Fox returns to direct the second season.
What Will be the Story of Goblin Slayer Season 2?
If you recall where Goblin Slayer left off, his group and the rest of the Adventurer’s Guild had just slain the Goblin Lord and his minions.
Everyone afterward assembled in the Guild Hall. The credits rolled just as we were going to glimpse the Slayer’s face for the first time. However, the Goblin’s Crown film’s side events occur next.
The manga for Goblin Slayer: Season 2 will include new characters. Wizard Boy, a want-to-be adventurer, appears to be a significant addition to the roster. He runs into the Goblin Slayer’s squad, which has a vendetta against the Goblins. And thus, another high-stakes quest starts, putting every adventurer’s life in danger.
However, take this with a pinch of salt because Studio Whitefox did entirely reorganize season one from the manga. So, the Wizard Boy plot should come next, assuming Whitefox doesn’t modify the order of the manga arcs this time.
Which Volumes of the Manga will Goblin Slayer Adapt?
This is when things become a little complicated. Whitefox made several modifications to the arrangement of the manga arcs to improve the flow of the anime. The anime finished on the Goblin Lord Arc; before that, we had the Sword Maiden Arc. However, this is not the case in the manga.
The Goblin Lord story concludes in manga chapter 15. Then comes the Sword Maiden Arc, which ends in Chapter 29. So, if you’re wondering when Goblin Slayer Season 2 will begin, it’s difficult to say right now.
But, if our suspicions are true, it should start in either Volume 6, where Wizard Boy is introduced, or Volume 5, where the crew embarks on another assignment.
