Golgo 13 Announces its First-Ever Spinoff Manga in its 50+ Years of History
Golgo 13 is a legendary manga series that has been running for over 50 years! Naturally, it has over 200 volumes and a permanent place in the hearts of otakus.
Considering its entire history, can you believe that the series does not have a single spinoff yet? Yes, it doesn’t have one yet, but that is about to change!
Golgo 13 is the name of the genius assassin whose real identity is known to no one. Will the upcoming spinoff shed light on his past?
Saitou Takao, the author of Golgo 13, will be penning a spin-off manga for the long-running series! The first chapter of the spin-off will be released on 16th July 2021.
In its entire 52 years of serialization, Golgo 13 has received several anime adaptations, but not a single spin-off.
Fans are dying to know the plot of this new manga, but Saitou Takao is protecting the story like a closely guarded secret! This is making us even more curious about the spin-off.
Duke Togo (Golgo 13) has shown up in many significant historical events; however, the series rarely has any recurring characters. Thus we cannot tell if the spin-off will be based on any other characters.

It was announced in 2015 that the manga is heading towards its conclusion, but there is no such development yet.
However, the COVID-19 pandemic has managed to put a dent into a manga as solid as Golgo 13. It had to go on a hiatus from May to July 2020 for the first time in its history.
