Haikyuu is a long-running sports shonen written and illustrated by Haruichi Furudate. It is serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine. Haikyuu is one of the most prominent sports series of all time, both in manga and anime departments.
There was a poll conducted, where Haikyuu was voted the favorite sports anime. In the poll that happened last month, Haikyuu was among the top 50 manga that Japanese people find relatable.
Haikyuu tells the story of Shoyo Hinata. He is born short, so he has a natural disadvantage at the game of volleyball. However, Hinata can jump very high and his passion for the game is unmatched. He pursues volleyball and joins Karasuno Highschool.
There he meets his rival and friend, Tobio Kageyama, the genius setter. Together, they play to win the Nationals and prove their worth, overcoming a multitude of challenges.
Haikyuu Season 4 anime has been delayed so fans are desperately clinging on to the manga. In this time of lockdowns, many fans have re-watched and reread the series and are eagerly waiting for the release anime to continue again, One Piece Episode 930 has been delayed as well.
With the upcoming Haikyuu Chapter 396, we are in the midst of a heated battle between Blue Jackals and Schweiden Adlers, of which Hinata and Kageyama are a part of, respectively. The score stands BJ 24-23 AD.

Haikyuu Chapter 395 Recap:
Satoshi Tendo reads an article about Ushiwaka failing to score well, while he was a part of the Japanese National Team, in an international volleyball game. He calls Ushiwaka and he tells how he hesitated multiple times during the game. He is in the midst of developing a new swing and was not at full power.
Ushiwaka also confided how he met a child who thought volleyball is boring. Tendo retorts that Ushiwaka isn’t good enough. At his level, he can not inspire others. He further says that Ushiwaka has to become a proper star, someone who can defeat any foreign team – that’s is what people love. Ushiwaka readily accepts the challenge.
Three months ago, Ushiwaka was in the USA to watch the practice of his father’s team – his father is a medic. He met Iwaizumi there, who was studying sports medicine. Iwaizumi wanted to meet a man named Takashi Utsui, who wrote fantastic sports medicine books.
Turns out, Utsui is the father of Ushiwaka. They go on to talk about Oikawa and how he is playing in Argentina. Here, Iwaizumi expresses his high hopes for Ushiwaka and tells him to get better. He also inspires Ushiwaka to get better and face the foreigner player, who are a lot more than 6 feet tall.
Back in the present, Sokolov’s serve is dug cleanly by Sakusa. Thomas sets it quickly and it is spiked hard. Now Romero digs it and Hoshiyumi sets it. Ushiwaka comes from behind and makes a very powerful spike. To be truly strong, he discards his power. The ball spins off Sakusa and Adlers win a point. Even with his skill, Sakusa failed to cover for the spin of that shot.
This spike was done in Ushiwaka’s new spike technique. The earlier one seemed like he was shooting an arrow; the new one is more like swinging a sword and it is much better. Ushiwaka had destroyed his strong weapon and made a stronger one!
Hinata is extremely excited by this. In a flashback, we see how Utsui is proud of his son and Ushiwaka is happy to see his dad impressed. In his childhood, his dad was the one who encouraged and nudged him towards volleyball. His dad had protected his gift of being talented and Ushiwaka was grateful. He admits that even if he wasn’t as lucky, he would have still worked hard to reach where he is.
Haikyuu Chapter 396 Release Date:
Haikyuu Manga Chapter 396 raw scans will be released on 3rd June 2020 and within 2 days, various scanlators will provide us the fan-translated English versions. They will be available before June 5, 2020 on various manga websites.

Haikyuu 396 Spoilers & Predictions
With just 1 point to win, the Blue Jackals seem to be in an advantageous position. Both Adlers and Jackals have won one set each, so the final set winner will get the match win. However, despite the obvious score advantage for the Jackals, the Schweiden Adlers have a great chance of winning too. They have the next serve, which if done correctly, will earn them a point to tie the game. And doing that will give them another serve to win the game.
The game is definitely reaching its climax. Adlers have to make their serve count and the Jackals have to find a way to dig it and win the point back. We are not aware of who wins the game, but we do believe that Haikyuu 396 will show the next point going to the Adlers, tying the score at 24-24.
Sokolov, the foreigner guy is serving. This gives us a chance to have a look at foreign players. Haikyuu Manga 396 might give us a little more insight into these foreigners’ lives and motivations. They do not need an elaborate flashback, just a couple of panels to explain their situations will do.
We also believe that we will witness a few more Pro League games in Haikyuu since Shonen Jump is not giving any hints to Haikyuu ending. This means that the arc will be continuing for a while, showing us new fights and maybe the battle for the cup.
