The story talks about a high schooler who is transported into a new world only to find that she is being chased by delinquents all across the town. Is There Enough Source Material?

Netflix’s High Rise Invasion takes up the story of the manga of the same name. Written by Tsuina Miura, the isekai manga is illustrated by Takahiro Oba. Kodansha’s Manga Box magazine has been publishing the text since December 2013, which ended in November 2020. So far, the story has been published in twenty-one tankobon volumes in hard copy. So, the anime adapted by Zero-G ended up using only the first ten volumes of the story. This means more than half of the source material is still left for adoption. Moreover, aside from the main storyline, Miura also headed a side story under the title High Rise Invasion Arrive.

This 2019 manga was also backed by Kodansha. So, even if the makers run out of material after the second season, they can refer to Arrive to continue the storyline. As of now, this manga has seven volumes and continues to publish more.

Will There Be A Spin-Off Series?

As mentioned above, the High Rise Invasion Season 2 will not be the last of the franchise. The series has been in the news for many good reasons. One of them is the arrival of the High Rise Invasion Arrive manga. The spin-off story is set in the new world, which traces newer characters with different conflicts. Aside from this, Miura has shared no other news of the works that he is planning to begin. But if Netflix ever wishes to move forward with the project, this short-term story would be a great opportunity to launch a mini-series.

In terms of Originals, Netflix just launched its creator’s base in 2021, which gave way to many storytellers. Just as the content platform is giving digital space to fanfiction works like After, The Kissing Booth, and many more. So, a similar approach could be expected in anime as well. High Rise Invasion Season 2: What Will Happen Next?

The first season of High Rise Invasion left on a hefty note along with many hanging questions. Ending in the ninth volume, it has paved the way for many arcs to come in High Rise Invasion Season 2. The final episode, “This is High Rise Invasion,” was more of a welcome note to the real world of HRI. In the finale, Archangel’s final fight began. From Makoto to Aohara to Ein, all try their hands at the angel. But even after Yuri got the powers that matched with that of the Archangel, they could not save Aohara.

All this traces back to the order that came from God’s Command. On the other end, Aikawa gets to know everything that has happened there. Thus, he expresses to Rika that they can leverage her to get their hands on Yuri. But Rika decided to deny that proposal. And so, Aikawa was left with no choice but to activate the Angel Command. Now, this is the point where the story will pick up. The Swimmer Mask is dead, and Yuri is left with powers that she can not deem to use.

Aikawa will continue with his plan to use Rika and abduct Yuri. Upon Rika’s rejection, he has no choice but to force it upon her. But the other side is well prepared to face whatever is coming their way.

When is Season 2 Of High Rise Invasion Coming Out: Release Date

As of now, there is no announced release date for High Rise Invasion Season 2. But it is also understandable that it is too early to demand a sequel now. It anyway takes one year to finish the production of any show. Thus, even if it went into production right after the season ended, there is no chance that Netflix would announce it as early. Plus, the content platform has a history of putting projects into Netlfix Jail until the hype is very high. In any case, the second season is not returning to the screens until the Summer of 2022.
