Hunter x Hunter Releases Special Visual For Its Tenth Anniversary

It’s hard to believe that the 2011 Hunter x Hunter anime is already ten years old. This version of Yoshiro Togashi’s story has already become a world-renowned classic in such a short period of time.

Although there isn’t any news from the author’s side due to his health issues, Takahiro Yoshimatsu, the anime’s character designer, has come through with a special illustration for the occasion.

The official website for Hunter x Hunter has released a commemorative visual for the tenth anniversary of the 2011 anime.

The visual features Hisoka, Leorio, and Kurapika standing behind Gon and Killua, holding up 1 and 0 respectively with their Nen.

Megumi Han and Mariya Ise, the voice actresses for Gon and Killua, have released a special message for Hunter x Hunter’s fans on the anime’s tenth anniversary.

It is a bit sad that Yoshihiro Togashi didn’t join in on the celebrations. It just goes on to show how serious his health issues are.

Although the fans of the series understand Togashi’s condition, the fact that there hasn’t been a single chapter in almost three years is disappointing. Even for a manga that is famous for its hiatuses, this is the longest one yet.

While many of us have accepted this to be the story’s end, the anime-only fans might get treated to an OVA or two in the future. Some sections of the story take place separately from the main storyline and can be adapted in the future, like the fated battle at Heavens Arena.
